Mr. Kenneth James Conforti Sr., age 86, a long term resident of Young Harris, GA passed away peacefully on December 14th at the Murphy, North Carolina Rehabilitation and Nursing Center after a brief illness.

Mr. Conforti was born in Pittsburgh, PA, the Son of the late Antonio and Theda Conforti. He was a      well-known restaurateur – owner and manager of the very popular Conforti’s Monticello in Fox Chapel,  PA and co-owner and manager of the Piccadilly Hearth restaurant in Miami, FL.  Later in life, he served as Vice President of Miller Machinery in Miami, FL.   During his 30+ years of residence in Young Harris, GA, Mr. Conforti and his beloved late wife LaVerne (deceased, 2004) were devoted members of St Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Blairsville, GA.

Surviving Mr. Conforti are his Son Kenneth (Cindy) Conforti Jr of Young Harris, GA, daughters Theda (Mark) Bokan of Wildwood, FL and Cinthea (Dave) Montgomery of Fairbanks, AK.

He is also survived by four grandchildren and six great granddaughters:  Julea Wood; Derek (Bethany) Wood and their daughters Evelyn and Willa; Caley Noles (fiancé, Josh Chastine) and their daughter Brooklyn;  Meagan (Preston) Eggler and their daughters Scarlet, Linya, and Noa.  All reside in the greater Atlanta area.

Mr. Conforti will be remembered for his charming, gracious, lively spirit and an effusive zest for the many adventures life had to offer.

Visitation will be on Tuesday December 21, 2021 from 9-10:00 am from the Pittsburg Cremation and Funeral Care in McMurray, PA.  Funeral services will be held on Tuesday December 21, 2021 at 10:00 am from the St. Thomas Moore Catholic Church with the Reverend  James Bedillion officiating. Interment will follow the church service at the Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Pittsburgh, PA.
