Larry J. Berkich

“I love you a bushel and a peck and lots of hugs around your neck”

Larry John Berkich, age 71 of McMurray, PA passed away very peacefully on Friday the 13th of July, 2018 in his home with his beloved wife and dogs by his side. He was born in New Eagle, PA, son of the late Margaret Zembo Berkich and George Berkich. Cherished husband and soulmate for nearly 28 years to Debbie Berkich. Brother-in-law to Cheryl (Skip) Scott, Fred Verzellesi and uncle to Jessica Scott Ovesney and Christopher (Janette) Scott, Peter Ovesney, Vanessa Ovesney and Henry Scott. Larry was also survived by a son.

Larry serviced in the Marine Corp. He was retired from his company Berkich Construction, that he managed for over 25 years as a builder and remodeler. He was a master carpenter and enjoyed building furniture for his wife as well as restoring their 1800’s home. Larry loved exercise and body building as well as martial arts. He enjoyed gardening, fishing and following the Pittsburgh Pirates and Steelers. Vacationing to Nassau in the Bahamas was one of his favorite places to travel. Corvette sports cars were his passion, but most of all Larry enjoyed spending all of his time with his cherished wife Debbie and their dogs Dusty, Sparky, Sox, Teddy and Ellie as well as his late, very beloved Shadow.
