Larry Platko

Lawrence “Larry” Platko, 63, of Irwin, PA, formerly of Nicktown, PA, passed away on Saturday, July 16, 2022. He was born on May 16, 1959, in Spangler, PA and is the son of the late Margaret and James Platko. Beloved husband of Loraine Platko; brother of Donny (Maria Elena) Platko, Jim and John Platko, Mike (Christine) Platko, Joanie Platko, and Mary Varner. He was preceded in death by his brother Steve Platko. He is also survived by his sidekick “Trixy” and many nieces and nephews, who he loved as if they were his own.

Larry was an industrial painter by trade and a member of the I.U.P.A.T. District Council #57. He loved being with family and friends. Larry enjoyed being outdoors, gardening and cooking and has always been an avid Pittsburgh fan of the Steelers, Penguins, Pirates, and Penn State.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 13, 2022, at 2:30 pm at 30 Clay Pike, Irwin, PA 15642. Arrangements were entrusted to Pittsburgh Cremation & Funeral Care, Robinson Township, PA.
