Laura Elizabeth Opatkiewicz Trunzo, age 89, of New Eagle, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on February 8, 2022.

Born on June 27, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Helen and Michael Opatkiewicz.

She was the loving mother of Linda (the late James) Kreuter of Columbus, Ohio, Charles (Karen) Trunzo of Eighty Four, Susan (Joseph) Gregorini of Canonsburg and Russell (Dawn) Trunzo of Eighty Four; grandmother of 7, Jennifer (Christopher) McKenna, Dr. James (Natasha) Kreuter, Stefanie (Matthew) Kuntz, Julie (Anthony) Zugec, Jaclyn (Jason White) Trunzo, Joseph (Megan Alicandro) Gregorini and Connor Trunzo; great grandmother of Kendall, Elijah and Caine; step grandmother of Michelle (Chris) Gorring and Shaun (Ann-Marie) Daugherty and 7 step great grandchildren; dear sister of John (Dorothy) Opat; also survived by many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles, daughter Brenda and siblings Caroline, Michael and Mary Ann.

Laura was an amazing seamstress. She was always baking and decorating cakes for everyone.  Laura enjoyed playing bingo.  Most of all she enjoyed spending time with family and friends.  She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
