Lida Anne Thrall Diller, April 27, 1932 – February 4, 2022
Lida Anne Thrall Diller, age 89 of McMurray, Pennsylvania, formerly of Perry Hall, Maryland. Beloved wife of the late William Lloyd Diller, daughter of the late Homer Thrall and Grace McGuffey Thrall. Devoted Mother of William Thrall, Amy Marie (Richard Fornear), John Franklyn (Iris Vassar), and Elizabeth Anne (David Jensen). Sister of Homer Thrall and Mary Tymeson. Grandmother of James Adam Leedy (Kaitlyn Leedy), Chance Thomas Fornear, and Jessica Grace Fornear. Great-Grandmother to Callum Jeffery Leedy. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
An accomplished musician, Lida earned her Bachelor of Music Degree in 1953 from Sherwood Music School in Chicago, IL. Lida went on to teach piano to countless students, and was a member of the Baltimore Choral Arts Society. Lida was the Organist for Perry Hall United Methodist Church from 1972-1995, and Secretary for the Perry Hall church from 1989-2002.
Lida served God in many ways, teaching Sunday school, leading Bible studies, and participating in the music ministry of the church. Lida expressed her love for God by ministering to the needs of others. She established the food pantry at Perry Hall UMC in 1982, which grew from a little closet to one of the most active food pantries and outreach ministries in Baltimore County.
A memorial service is planned for March 12, 2022, at 11:00 AM, at Perry Hall UMC, 9515 Belair Road, Baltimore MD 21236. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Perry Hall UMC Food Pantry at the above address or via https://tinyurl.com/umcfood
