Lida E. Fuhrer

Lida E. Fuhrer, 92, of Canonsburg, formerly of South Fayette, passed away peacefully. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph M. Fuhrer.

Born on December 2, 1933, in Pittsburgh, Lida was the daughter of the late Lorenzo and Jennie Giovanni Rosi. She was a loving and devoted mother to Jenny (Ron) Zatawski and Joanne (Gil) Mihalich Fuhrer. Lida was a proud and cherished Nonna to her grandchildren, Ami (Drew) Jefferson and Stacey Zatawski, and a treasured great-grandmother to Morgan, Wyatt, and Alayna Jefferson, and Aidan Garland.

She was preceded in death by her siblings, Gino Rosi, Lawrence Rosi, Ralph Rosi, and Mary Gordesky. Lida is also remembered as a loving godmother to Gloria Schmalz and is survived by many nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly.

Lida found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved traveling, shopping, and playing cornhole and cards. She enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, word searches, and all kinds of games, but above all, she treasured time spent with her family, always bringing laughter and warmth to those around her.
