Linda L. Mechling

Linda L. Mechling, age 66, of Crafton, passed away unexpectedly on January 18, 2026. Born July 12, 1959, in Oakdale, PA, Linda was the beloved daughter of the late Mildred (Campbell) Darnley and James (Bernice) Darnley. She was also preceded in death by her devoted husband, Cort Mechling, Sr., whose memory she carried closely in her heart.

Linda was a loving and dedicated mother to Cort (Krista) Mechling, Jr. and Amber (Matthew) Brady. She found her greatest joy in being a grandmother to Eva Ruth Mechling, Angel Marie Smith, Skyler James Mechling, Matthew Howard Brady, and Carson Lee Brady, each of whom brought light and purpose to her life.

She was a cherished sister to James (Eileen) Darnley and Dennis Darnley, and was preceded in death by her sister, Maryann (Dave) Wallace.

Linda enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. She loved gardening and working with ceramics, finding peace and creativity in both. Above all else, she was a devoted mother and grandmother, whose love, kindness, and steady presence will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew her.

Friends will be received on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Pittsburgh Cremation & Funeral Care, 5405 Steubenville Pike, McKees Rocks, PA 15136.
