Loretta Estelle Adams, 82, of Canonsburg, PA, formerly of McDonald, PA, went home to be with the Lord on June 3, 2026.

Born on July 14, 1943, she was the beloved daughter of the late David and Grace Tyler. In addition to her parents, Loretta was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Lewis R. Adams, and her brothers, John and Harold Tyler.

Loretta was a woman of remarkable strength, compassion, and determination. She first attended the former Irene Beauty Academy, earning her cosmetology license, before pursuing a career in healthcare. A graduate of the Western Area Career and Technology Center, she obtained her LPN license and dedicated herself to caring for others as a Licensed Practical Nurse and nursing assistant at Country Meadows Assisted Living. Her kindness, patience, and caring nature touched the lives of countless residents, families, and coworkers throughout the years.

Faith was a guiding force in Loretta’s life. She was a former member of First Baptist Church of McDonald and later became a faithful member of Second Baptist Church of Carnegie, where she found fellowship, encouragement, and spiritual fulfillment.

Loretta enjoyed life’s simple pleasures. She could often be found working on jigsaw puzzles, watching her favorite programs on KDKA-TV, or cheering on the Pittsburgh Steelers. Yet, above all else, her greatest joy was her family. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who loved deeply and unconditionally. Known as everyone’s confidant, Loretta had a gift for listening without judgment and offering wisdom, comfort, and encouragement when it was needed most. She possessed a strong will, a fighting spirit, and a resilience that inspired all who knew her.

She is survived by her loving daughters, Rochelle Tyler and Sheilah (Roland) Adams-Woods; her cherished grandchildren, Jordan Allen, and Breah Lee; and her beloved granddogs, Bentley and Zilla.

Loretta’s legacy of faith, love, strength, and compassion will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched.

Friends will be received on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 12:00 p.m. at Pittsburgh Cremation & Funeral Care, 3287 Washington Road, McMurray, PA 15317.

Memorial contributions in Loretta’s name may be made to a charity of your choice.

May God comfort you all in this time of loss. I met your mom 3 years ago when I moved into the same building she lived. She always had a kind word and was very pleasant to speak with. She will really be missed.

Please know that Ms Loretta will be sadly missed by all the MediVan drivers of Canonsburg Hospital. She was a pleasure to serve her. She was always appreciative of the service. And she was one of our most patient patients. From Dana, Glenn, and Sam
