Lou S. King

Lou Sherwood King, age 86, of Georgetown, PA, passed away peacefully on August 20, 2024. Born on June 8, 1938, in Pittsburgh, Lou was the cherished son of the late John and Loretta King and the beloved husband of the late Marge King.
Lou is survived by his loving children: Lou (Barb), Jim (Mia), Bob (Ashleigh), and Michael (Stephanie). He was a devoted brother to John C. King, Lula May Lickas, and Bonnie Mamula. Lou’s legacy continues through his ten grandchildren: Ken, Lou III, Dan, Jackie, James, Mindy, Tassia, Payton, Jake, and Winter, and his six great-grandchildren: Dannyele, Noella, Willow, Grayson, Rowan, and Dillyn. He is also fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews.
A longtime and esteemed member of the Lathers and Carpenters Unions; Local L33, 142, and 432, Lou dedicated many years to his craft and was a respected figure within his professional community.
In accordance with his family’s wishes, all arrangements are private. Lou will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
