Lucille N. Adams, age 105¾, of Upper St. Clair, passed away peacefully on January 7, 2026.
Born on April 11, 1920, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Lucille was the daughter of the late Louise and Crispin Nickolas. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 58 years, Chester W. Adams.
Lucille is survived by her children, Michael Adams, Christine Harrison, and Kathleen Adams; her six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is survived by her sister, Mary Louise Heigl. She was preceded in death by her siblings Edward Nickolas, Rosemarie Convoy and Crispin Nickolas.
A devout lover of nature and the environment, Lucille found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She was an avid crossword puzzle enthusiast, a faithful daily news reader, and enjoyed playing Scrabble every day with her daughter Christine. In her later years, she was lovingly accompanied by her cherished cat of 13 years, Valentine, who brought her great comfort and companionship.
During her working years, Lucille was a professional secretary for the Department of Property Supplies for Allegheny County. She also loved to travel extensively with her ARP group, exploring destinations throughout the United States and Canada.
A gentle and loving soul, Lucille will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Lucille will be interred with her late husband, Chester on February 3, 2026 at 12:30 p.m. at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, 1158 Morgan Rd, Bridgeville, PA 15017. If you wish to attend, please meet directly at the cemetery.
