Lynn Martha (Arbuckle) Kriska, age 80, of Crafton, PA, passed away on July 6, 2024. Beloved wife of nearly 50 years to Michael Dean Kriska, Jr.

Born on May 31, 1944, in Pittsburgh, PA, she is daughter of the late Ruth Mechling and step-daughter of the late Ralph Mechling.

Mother of four children, Wendy (Gary) Sullivan, William (Cheri) Minkel III, Jessica (Shawn) Spragg, and Michael (Allison) Kriska III. Sister of Alberta (the late Charlie) Coulter, Robert (Mary) Arbuckle, Denise Philips, the late Cort (Linda) Mechling, Mark (Krista) Mechling, and Aline (Robert) Shick. Grandmother of April Meadows, William the IV (Kayla) and Josh Minkel, Alexander, Zachariah, Mathias, and Katarina Spragg, Austin Chapman, and Arawynn and Julietta Kriska. Great-grandmother of Max and Jack Meadows, Zayden, William the V and Gwenabelle Minkel. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Lynn was born and raised in Crafton and was a member of the Crafton United Presbyterian Church. Anyone who knew her knows she was very creative and crafty; She loved making art and reading several novels a week. She was an assistant librarian at the Carnegie Library of Crafton until she retired. She also served on the Crafton Volunteer Fire Department (CVFD) Ladies Auxiliary making her the 4th generation of her family to serve on the CVFD! She enjoyed camping and fishing with her husband and children. Above all, she loved spending time with her family around her.

Friends and family will be welcomed on Saturday, July 13, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., at Pittsburgh Cremation & Funeral Care, 5405 Steubenville Pike, Robinson Township, PA 15136. A service will immediately follow at 3:00 p.m.

She still has a pretty welcoming smile, God I’m sure welcomed her home for a job well done, she ran the race and made all who met her better for it.

Such a great woman, and a great family. She was another mother away from home to so many of us. She was always there with a kind word, a funny word, or some words you needed to hear. She will be missed. Condolences to the family.
