Margaret E. Mahoney

Margaret E. Mahoney, 97, wife of the late Anthony Mahoney of Coraopolis, Pennsylvania, passed away on Monday, January 28, 2019, in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania.  Born October 10, 1921 in McKees Rocks Pennsylvania, Margaret was the Daughter of the late Veronica “Vera” Sneperger and Stephan Albert Yurkovich. Margaret is survived by Cousin Ronald Sneperger; and many Nieces and Nephews including Amy Koval (Tom), Paul Cvengros (Diane), Edward Yurkovich (Linda), Stephan A. Yurkovic (Beverly), Mary Beth Springer (Gary), Joanne Christ (Phil), Judy Ross (Dale), Marian Mahoney (Don), Paulette McNamee ( Robert), Donald Mahoney, Robert Mahoney ( Carol), William Mahoney, Robert Mahoney ( Sally, Dec.), Grace Murphy (Tom), John “Buddy” Mahoney, Joyce Bryan (Sam), Frank Samuel Mahoney, James Mahoney, and Dolly Hereza; as well as dear friend Joseph Dandrea. Margaret was preceded in death by her Brothers Stephan A. Yurkovic and Edward R. Yurkovich; Nephews Louis Leonard Mahoney and Christopher Mahoney; as well as beloved Sisters-in-law Mary Yeram (Louis), Mildred (Dolly) Cvengros; and Brother-in- law Edward Cvengros. Margaret and her husband Tony were married 69 years and were proprietors of Shamrock Hardware in Mount Lebanon, Pennsylvania as well as neighborhood fixtures at their home on Herbst Road in Kennedy Township. Most of all, Margaret will be remembered as a loving Wife, Sister, Cousin, and Aunt. Private arrangements entrusted to Pittsburgh Cremation and Funeral Care, Robinson Twp.
