Margaret L. Byers, age 81, passed away peacefully at home on January 26, 2023.
Born on March 4, 1941, in St. John’s Newfoundland, Canada, she is the daughter of the late Albert and Olive (Turner) Harris. She loved knitting and crocheting, working in the yard, following politics after she proudly became an American citizen, and playing a mean card game.
She was the beloved wife of 31 years to the late Russell O. Byers.
Peggy was the loving mother of Eugene (Jan) Byers, Robert (Susannah) Byers, and Tammy Byers-Smith,
cherished grandmother of Shane Byers, Jake (Katie) Byers, Sarah Smith, and Em Smith, and
Great Grandmother of Chloe Byers.
Peggy was also a loving sister and aunt to many.
Preceded in death by her granddaughter Stephanie Byers and many siblings.
