It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Margaretha “Peggy” Knoebel, 60, of South Park, on September 11, 2024.

Born on November 23, 1963, to the late Charles and Maryann Bauer in the North Side of Pittsburgh, Peggy was one of 11 children. Her feistiness was prevalent as a child and many spoke of her big, lovable personality from a young age.

Peggy was known by family and friends to be an amazing hostess. She would welcome her loved ones to a crockpot full of kielbasa and sauerkraut every Steelers Sunday and delicious casseroles every holiday. Peggy’s sense of humor was one of a kind and she was able to easily bring a smile to anyone’s face. She was a lover of Bud Light, country music, and SpongeBob reruns.

Peggy lived for her family and showed her love for them through every move she made. She leaves behind her children, Shannon (Sean) and Brian, and their father Gary. She also leaves behind her beloved granddaughter, Kamrynn, who her world revolved around.

As per Peggy’s wishes, in lieu of a religious service, her children will host their closest loved ones in a Celebration of Life and then ultimately lay her ashes to rest at her favorite location, Ocean City, MD.

“Love you more!”
