Marguerite Anne Kessler, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and faithful servant of Christ, passed away at the age of 78. Born in Rochester, NY, originally from Marrietta, Ohio and a long-time resident of McMurray, Pennsylvania, she lived a life marked by deep faith, enduring love, and joyful devotion to family.

Margo was known for her radiant smile, vivacious spirit, and the kindness and generosity she so freely shared with others. A masters-educated English teacher by profession, she had a life-long love of writing, reading and learning. She was an active member of The Bible Chapel where she cherished serving in Children’s Ministry, Care Giving Ministry, greeting others and serving faithfully within the church community, often including taking one of her amazing home cooked meals to those in need. Marguerite also loved to study the Bible and have fellowship with her community Bible study of 50 years.

She found joy in cooking and baking, gardening alongside her husband, relaxing in the sunshine, and traveling, especially to Germany and Ocean City, Maryland. Margo also enjoyed staying physically active all of her life. Her favorite saying, passed down from her mother, Marylin Taylor, was “Keep on keeping on,” a phrase she lived by and shared often.

Marguerite is survived by her loving husband, Ralph Kessler, and her cherished family:

William and Christa Donohue, Alexa, Cole and Kai

Matt, Greta, Elena and Bryson Tylka

Billy, Petra, Berlin, Vienna and Geneva Hinton

Visitation with the family will be held at Pittsburgh Cremation and Funeral Care in McMurray, PA on December 22, 2025 from 2 – 4 p.m. and 5 – 7 p.m.

I have known Mrs. Kessler since I was 4 years old, when my mother, Kesslers and several families began a Bible study …. About 52 years ago. I recall frequently being at their home after church as a child walking through Herr Kessler’s maze on their property. As an adult I began and still attend that same Bible study started all those years ago. Mrs Kessler … you always said to call you by your first name, and out of respect I never did…. Today I honor your request ….. Rest In Peace Margo…relish in the splendor of God’s kingdom with all of your brothers and sisters in Christ gone before you.

Oh, Ralph, I am so very sorry 😢 Margo didn’t realize what a wonderful woman she was. I looked to follow her example of following God with a whole heart. She was so gracious to me and encouraged me and others with her kindness. She will be sorely missed 💜
