Marian May Prigg

Marian May Prigg, 94, passed away peacefully at home on April 2, 2022.  A devoted mother and grandmother, her kindness and loving nature will be remembered by all who knew her.  She was born on February 26, 1928 to Benjamin and Esther Rozner, immigrants from Austria-Hungry.

Marian is survived by her five loving children: Thomas (Vickie), Timothy, David (Bonnie), Susan Mansfield (Glenn), and Sandra Monteverde (Robert).  She was preceded in death by her son, James and daughter-in-law, Laura. She has many grandchildren, Ruth Scott, Christy Hart, Timothy Prigg, Jr., Sherry Taylor, James Stainbrook, James Prigg, Jr., Billy Jo Camacho, Thomas Prigg, Jr., Julia Jones, Jodie Walker, A.J. Monteverde, Robin Ceschin, Jeremy Monteverde, and many great grandchildren.

Marian enjoyed gardening, art, painting, sketching, and reading.  She was passionate about her family and taking care of them, and enjoyed cooking them meals. Marian planted large gardens, and enjoyed preserving foods and sharing natural remedies.  She was famous for her cookies and pies.

A private memorial service will be held on Tuesday.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Pittsburgh Food Bank.
