Marianne C. Mitchell

Marianne C. Mitchell, age 86 of Canonsburg, PA formerly of Brentwood, PA passed away peacefully surrounded by family on February 19, 2022. Born on June 23, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Mary and Patsy Oliver. Beloved wife to the late Robert “Mitch” Mitchell. Loving mother to Kathleen Robbins (Bob) and Lorraine (Chuck) Bogden. Cherished Gram and Bubby to Dominic (Tricia), Matthew, and Robert (Gina) Mitchell, Christopher (Paige) Gross, Richard (Shana) Neel. Dear great grandma to Anthony, Mason and Carson Mitchell, Emily and Olivia Gross, Bruce and Sam Neel and Zachary and JJ Bogden. She will also be dearly missed by her “daughter from another mother,” Karen. Marianne was preceded in death by her son, Robert Mitchell and son-in-law Bruce Robbins.

Her passion was singing in the choir at St. Sylvesters Church. Marianne was a good soul and in spite of her struggles, she was a fighter and was always there for anyone in her family who needed her. She will be dearly missed by her cats, Romeo and Shadow and all who knew and loved her.

Family and friends are welcome on Monday, February 21, 2022 from 2 PM – 7 PM at Pittsburgh Cremation and Funeral Care, 3287 Washington Road, McMurray, PA 15317, (724) 260-5546. A funeral service will take place on Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at 10 AM at the funeral home. Burial will take place privately at Queen of Heaven Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Marianne’s name to a charity of your choice.
