Marilyn M. Gargiulo, 89, passed away peacefully on February 9, 2026. She was born April 6, 1936 to the late Josephine and Alex Murawski.
Marilyn was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Gargiulo, who passed away in 2018. She is the dear mother of Michelle (Jerry) Grosso and Joseph (Diane) Gargiulo. Loving grandmother of Daniel (Marissa) Grosso and Andrew Grosso, Jake, Blaire, and Dylan Gargiulo. Great grandmother of Colby Grosso. Sister of Connie Police, Lucille Zyskowski, Alexander Murawski, Richard Murawski, the late Carol Murawski, and Cynthia Ball. Also many dear nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Marilyn worked as the executive secretary to the president of PPG Industries for 27 years until her retirement in 1992. She also worked for Alcoa for 11 years. Marilyn graduated from Stowe High School in 1952. She was a long-time resident of Crafton where she and Joe raised their children. After retirement, Joe and Marilyn traveled and cruised to many exciting places. Their favorite adventure was always Las Vegas, NV.
Marilyn was a kind and gentle woman with a warm and loving smile. Her sense of humor and quick wit made us laugh. She was a passionate reader and writer of short poems and very competitive with word games. Her creativity included knitting and crocheting beautiful afghans, and detailed ceramics that are cherished by her family. Marilyn was a true Pittsburgher, an avid Steelers and Pirates fan.
She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
