Marlene M. Sulkowski, 82, of Robinson Township, PA, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Saturday, April 29, 2023. Beloved wife of 56 years to the late Ronald R. Sulkowski. Born on November 30, 1940 in Tyrone, PA, she is the daughter of the late Arthur and Magdalene Catherman. Loving mother of Stacey (Joseph) Maletic, Heidi (Al) Miller and Christopher (Sonnie) Sulkowski. Grandmother of Shelby (Ben) Rearick, Jacob Sulkowski, AJ Miller, Tiffany Miller and the late Connor Miller. Also survived by her brother-in-law, Bernard (Vicki) Sulkowski, along with several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her late brother-in-law Regis (Margaret) Sulkowski, Regis Sulkowski Jr., as well as her sister-in-law, Christine Sulkowski.

You would never find Marlene without a book in hand, and she made the best cold mint tea during each summer. She had a passion for being a floral designer for more than 40 years and was able to assist with growing each of her daughter’s businesses in the floral industry as well. Canning, farm life and gardening were huge deals of excitement in her life during the early years as she continued to grow her family. She took great joy in being a grandmother to 4 and participating in their activities during and after school. Marley, her Shitzu, was a huge part of each day during the last several decades and kept her constant company. She was involved with the Ladies Auxiliary for Monroeville #1 Fire Dept. along with the South Buffalo Volunteer 220 where her husband served for several years. Her son and grandson now take the same path as Ronald at the South Buffalo Volunteer 220.

As Marlene wished to keep things simple with her family, no memorial service will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Marlene’s name may be made to ASPCA (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) as she wanted to give these animals a helping hand at a better life. Arrangements were entrusted to Pittsburgh Cremation & Funeral Care, Robinson Township, PA. Please view and sign the family’s online guestbook at www.PittsburghCremation.com.

Stacey, Heidi and Christopher and families. We are so sorry to hear of the passing of aunt Marlene. We will cherish the memories we have of spending a lot of our childhood together. We had such special bonds with you guys. If you guys weren't at our house we were at your farms. We learned a lot about the day to day activities of having a farm. And the rewards of crops and the pigs and cows and such. Such a special time for us. Love u guys so much. 💜💜💜
