Mary Anne McFeely (nee Mihallo) of Eighty Four, Pa, passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of May 14th; her loving husband at her bedside, holding her hand.
Born on March 8th, 1962, she was the eldest daughter of the late Stephen and Doloris (nee Carpick) Mihallo of Oakland.
Mary Anne was a true Pittsburgh native, who loved her hometown and was proud of its history. She was a fierce Steelers Fan, and enjoyed celebrating her city at every opportunity.
She received her Masters of Social Work from the University of Pittsburgh in 1992. Helping others throughout her varied and extensive career brought her a great sense of fulfillment.
Mary Anne was deeply devoted to her faith in the Lord. She regularly attended Women’s Ministry meetings and was a long time member of Pittsburgh Christian Fellowship Church where she made many lifelong friends.
She met her soul mate, James McFeely in 2004, and they were wed on May 7th, 2005. They had recently celebrated 16 years of love and companionship.
She is survived by her husband and fur children, SnoBall & Benny; a sister, Margie Mihallo, nephew, Stephen Wheeler, niece, Jasmine (T.J.) Chess; a sister in law, Holley, nephews, Chanuis, Kodiak and Indigo, and nieces, Galaxia, Xanixus and Sienna Moysenko; her mother-in-law, Denise Morton; her father-in-law, Richard (Marlene) McFeely; and many other close family members. A brother, Stephen, passed in infancy.
Mary Anne will long be remembered for her kind heart, infectious laugh, and love of life and the Lord.
A memorial will be held May 24th, 3:00pm to 7:00pm In Schenely Park at the Vietnam Veterans pavilion.
