Mary Carol Len, Age 81, of South Fayette, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on July 28, 2026. She was born on May 28, 1945, and resided for numerous years in Scott Township and Upper St. Clair.
Mary Carol was devoted wife to, and preceded in death by, her husband John J. Len. She was a beloved mother to Deborah (Kenneth) Wolfson and Michael (Stephanie) Len and cherished grandmother to the grandchildren she adored, Nicholas & Maya Wolfson and Donovan & Camden Len. She was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Fannie Calderone. Mary Carol was a supportive sibling to her identical twin sister, the late Esther DeAngelis and her younger brother, the late Frances G. ‘Butch’ (Janette) Calderone. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Mary Carol was a 1963 graduate of Chartiers Valley High School and graduated from the Pittsburgh Hospital Nursing School in 1966, where she became a Registered Nurse. While she cared for many patients at several different hospitals and retirement facilities in Pittsburgh, her greatest accomplishment was delivering compassionate care as Director of Nursing at Country Meadows Nursing Home in Bridgeville.
While her late husband, John, was the ‘Glue’ of the family, Mary Carol was the ‘Rock’ that always had a calming, steady personality with her children and grandchildren. In addition to her family, the true passion of her life was her nursing career where she took incredible pride with providing the highest standard of care to the many patients she interacted with throughout the years. In her later years, she resided at Concordia of Bridgeville Assisted Living where she was always concerned about her fellow residents’ well-being. Mary Carol’s family would like to especially thank all the nurses and staff there for providing the same elevated level of care that she provided to others throughout her career.
