Mary Jo Nowak, Age 81, of Cecil, entered the gates of Heaven peacefully on Monday July 8, 2024.  Dear Daughter to the late Warren Sr. and Rose Schweitzer; Loving Wife to the late Ronald Nowak Sr.; Cherished Mother to Ronald Jr. (Kristine), Bridget, Edward, Daniel (Lerin), and Michael (Keira) Nowak, and foster son Jimmy Wargha; Loving Grandmother to Matthew, Gabriel, Jeremy, Jonathan, Joshua, Kaylee, the late Joseph, Angel, Amara, and Tyler Nowak and Brittany Browning; Loving Great-Grandmother to Ava Nowak and Maggie Corlazzoli; Dear Sister to Rosann (Bob) Jones, Nellene (Jack) Groetsch, Thomas Schweitzer, Denise (George) Joseph, the late Warren Schweitzer Jr. and the late David Schweitzer; Beloved Aunt to Heather Schweitzer and many nieces and nephews.

Mary Jo loved the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and shared the gospel to everyone she met.  Her love for the Lord was apparent on how she lived her life.  Her lack of fear was very inspiring as she only feared the Lord.  She was prepared to meet the Lord at any given time.  Sister Mary Jo was a pivotal member of The Church of God for over 60 years.  She was a very generous person and loved serving.  Her spiritual gifts included fostering children and helping others in need.  She loved spending time at her camp in Cook Forest.  She was a woman that was never in a hurry unless she was behind the wheel.  Mary Jo radiated beauty, elegance and grace and she will be dearly missed.  Please join us in celebrating her life on Saturday July 13, 2024 from 4 pm until the time of service at 7 pm at Pittsburgh Cremation & Funeral Care, 3287 Washington Rd., McMurray, PA 15317, 724-260-5546
