Mary Louise “Tootsie” Hartman, age 94, of Robinson Township, formerly of Carrick, passed away peacefully on July 4, 2026.

Born on July 4, 1932, in Pittsburgh, Tootsie was the daughter of the late Edwin & Barbara Steiner. She was the beloved wife of the late Gabriel Hartman.

Tootsie was the loving mother of Tim (Claudia), Barb, Gabe (late Janet), and Jim (Diane). She was also the cherished “Grammie” of 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and is further survived by many loving nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter Mary and her sisters, Theresa, Lois, and Marlene. Tootsie will be remembered for her quiet strength, kindness, and the love she shared with her family throughout her long life. She leaves behind many treasured memories that will continue to bring comfort to those who knew and loved her.

In accordance with Tootsie’s wishes, there will be no public visitation.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, July 13, 2026 at 9:30am at Archangel Gabriel Parish (Holy Trinity Church), 5718 Steubenville Pike Robinson Township, PA 15136. Interment will follow at 11:00am at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies 1158 Morgan Rd. Bridgeville, PA 15017.

She was a very gracious lady and she will be missed. May her soul and all the souls of the faithfully departed rest in peace. One memory I have was during any wedding my dad’s family would gather around and Aunt Tootsie would always start the singing of all the old songs like Green green grass of home. It is a cherish memory.
