Matthew ‘Hammer’ Wakulik passed away, leaving behind a legacy defined by loyalty, generosity, and an unwavering sense of honor. He was the beloved son of Teri and George Wakulik, both deceased. He is survived by his wife, Tracy Andrews, to whom he was deeply devoted, sharing a life filled with love, especially through their cherished time together wine tasting, cooking, shooting guns, and happily serving as her favorite craft show assistant, as well as by his faithful dog, Rex, who was never far from his side.
Matt is survived by his two brothers, George (wife Melissa) and Chris (wife Kelly) Wakulik and his nieces. He worked in construction, where his work ethic and character earned him respect from all who knew him. He also co-hosted the Berm Pit Podcast and was an active member of ICCRU.
Known for his wide-ranging interests and larger-than-life personality, Matt had a passion for Sasquatch hunting and was always ready to share a fact or theory. He loved history, was a self-taught constitutional scholar, and had a gift for public speaking that left a lasting impression on those who heard him. He also dabbled in music as an amateur musician—though, as he would humorously admit, his brother Chris once kicked him out of the band.
Above all, Matt will be remembered as someone who showed up for others. He was fiercely loyal, deeply generous, and carried himself with a sense of honor that touched everyone in his life. His presence will be profoundly missed by family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
