Maxime Teixido, “Max”, “Pappap”, “Pa”, age 83 of Valencia, passed away on July 18, 2022 peacefully in his home. He was born on April 3, 1939. He is preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Jacqueline Teixido, as well as his parents and siblings. He is survived by his children Veronique (Jeff) Marcon and Laurent (Heather) Teixido; grandchildren Valerie Teixido, Amanda (Todd) Hays, Chelsea (Kenneth) Vermillion, Zachary Teixido, Tabitha Teixido and Samantha Teixido; great-grandchildren Tannon Vermillion, Sophie Hays, and Kamden Vermillion; his cherished dogs Bijou and Maya; and many nieces and nephews.

Maxime was born and raised in France, graduated from college and enlisted in the French Army. He enjoyed telling stories of his deployment to Africa and other life adventures. In 1969 Maxime and Jacqueline immigrated to the United States from France and became residents of Pennsylvania where he had his own window company. Max had an excellent work ethic, appreciated gourmet food and fish dinner, as well as glasses of Martini Rossi and White Zinfandel, dancing, traveling, and Elvis. He was a very generous and social man and never met a stranger. His voice was powerful and booming yet loving, and he loved to entertain and make people laugh. He enjoyed taking his family to visit different states and countries, singing French songs in the car, and going fishing. His dogs were his babies whom he loved to spoil.

Maxime will live on in the hearts of his family and friends, and they will be comforted by the special memories that were created. We love you Pappap!

I’m going to miss this amazing man I proudly called my Uncle. He was a strong force to be reckoned with when it came to his love for his wife and his family. I will miss our random phone calls and chats and I’m sorry I missed my opportunity to see you one last time before you passed. I do remember many visits to PA when I was a child to visit my Uncle Max and his family and it was always the best time. Always. I will miss you uncle Max. ❤️😘💔

You always made everyone feel welcome and like they were part of the family. I can still hear you say,” yes yes of course!” To whatever was asked of you. Thank you for being such a loving and supportive Father in-law to me. I’m going to miss you and how much you made me laugh. I love you and I will see you again. Heather
