Melvin James Ellwood

Melvin James Ellwood, age 78 passed away on December 23, 2020. He grew up in Brookline and was a 48 year resident of Baldwin Borough. Melvin was the son of the late Melvin R. and Ellen A. Ellwood. He is survived by his wife Kathleen; his son Jim Ellwood (Tracy) and grandsons Adam Ellwood and Michael and Thomas Zandhuis. Melvin was the brother of Eileen (Richard) and is blessed with many nieces and nephews. He will also be dearly missed by his dear friend, Mary Ann. Melvin was preceded in death by his daughter Cheryl.

Melvin graduated from South Hills High School. He was a proud United States Army Veteran. Melvin loved music and enjoyed camping at Prince Gallitzin and taking trips to the Outer Banks. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Internment will take place privately at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies with full military honors on Thursday, December 31, 2020 at 1:30 PM. Arrangements have been entrusted to Pittsburgh Cremation and Funeral Care, 3287 Washington Road, McMurray, PA 15317, (724) 260-5546.
