Melvin Wayne Carr

Melvin Wayne Carr, 74, of Ross Township, formerly of the City of Pittsburgh, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 18, 2026.

Born on October 20, 1951, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Edith and Melvin Carr.

Melvin was the beloved husband of Sallee A. Carr. He was a loving father to Wayne (Jemma) Carr and Matthew (Danielle) Carr. He was a cherished grandfather to Dylan Carr, Dakota Carr, Brody Carr, Trevor Carr, Taylor Carr, and Micheal Carr. He is also survived by his brother, Edward (Kassy) Carr, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Melvin enjoyed spending his time traveling the world with his wife, Sallee, and treasured every moment watching his grandchildren grow. He dedicated many years to refereeing lacrosse and was an avid fan of his favorite television shows, often relaxing with his many dogs on his lap—especially Barney.
