Michael A “Mike” Dubina, age 69 of Washington passed away peacefully on Friday October 4, 2024. Born on March 13, 1955, he was the son of the late Nicholas and Helen Dubina.

Beloved husband of Debbie Stevens Dubina for 50 years, son in law of Marilyn Stevens. Loving father of Lori (Chris) Cain and the late Christine Martin. Father in law of Joe Martin. Cherished grandfather of Erik, Austin, Zach, Mattie (Cody), Dakota (Kira), Shayla, Ellyauna, and Gunner as well as great grandfather of Hudson and Waylon. He was also the dear brother of Nicholas (Barb) Dubina, Carol (Bob) White and brother in law of Bonnie Dubina. Uncle of several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother Clyde Dubina, sisters Emma(Steve) Gudac and Debbie Heinz Dubina.

Mike was a 1973 graduate of Canon-McMillan High School. He then proudly served his country in both the United States Air Force as a SGT, serving from 1975-1979 earning a Good Conduct Medal, Longevity Service Award and Combat Crew Badge and United States Army serving as a PV2 from August 1973 – December 1973 earning a Marksman Badge. After his military service, he worked as a mold maker for 30 years before retiring from Ross Mould.

An avid lover of the outdoors, Mike enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and spending precious time with his grandchildren. He also had a passion for music. He loved to play his guitar and sing with his daughters and friends. He shared a deep bond with his lifelong friend Chuckie Stoneking, with whom he hitchhiked across the country as a young man, embarking on unforgettable adventures together. Mike was known for his mischievous sense of humor and infectious laugh—one that could fill a room and make everyone around him join in, creating joyful, unforgettable moments.

A service at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies will take place at a later date.

I so wish we all would have made the time to get together. It’s so sad that life had to get in the way. We will cherish our memories we had, we had so much fun. Joe and I send our deepest condolences to the family. Huge hugs to Debbie and Lori. Rest in Heaven Mike, we love ya.
