Charmaine and family - I was so very sad to hear the news of Mike's passing. I have such wonderful memories of Mike in high school. He was so kind, caring and just a really great friend. I'm so sorry that we lost touch but I can tell from all of these messages that you had a wonderful life together and a great family. You have my very deepest sympathy.

Mike and I were in the USMS academy together. Because of our names we sat next to each other and did all of our practical exercises and activities together. We kept each other out of trouble, most of the time. As the years went by we always met up at USMS functions and enjoyed our beer (or two) together. Mike was always a professional who loved his family. I learned a lot from him from day one and will always crack a smile when I think of him. He was a great soul.
Kevin Platts, Retired Chief DUSM
I met Mike at one of our Chief DUSM meetings and Mike became one of those people you always liked to talk with at training and meetings over a beer. Mike admired all the people that he worked with at the USMS. Mike enjoyed talking about his USMS colleagues and Mike had a passion for our brothers and sisters in the USMS and what they do for a living. Mike always talked about his family and kept me up to date on their last and great accomplishments! I enjoyed hearing about all the family things they got to do together and Mike sure loved his family! The smile and grin on his face when he talked about his family lite up the room! Mike absolutely adored and was very proud of his family! I wish the family the Peace of God during this time and ask all of you to remember all the wonderful things Mike did for us and our country. It was a blessing to meet Mike and to many blessing every time I got to see Mike. Rest in Peace my Brother!
Larry Dunn, Chair, Amen Corner Senator John Heinz Law Enforcement Awards Committee
Dear Charmaine and Family, I was very sorry to read of your loss of Mike. He was very highly regarded by the entire law enforcement community, and will be greatly missed by so many people whose lives he touched. I had the opportunity to get to know him when he served as Chief Deputy to former US Marshal Tom Fitzgerald, and was so pleased when the President appointed him to that position in 2019. Please accept my deepest condolences.
