Michael Henry Patterson Jr.

Sunrise October 26, 1981 to Sunset March 15, 2021.

Michael Henry Patterson Jr. was born to the late Sonda R. Patterson and Michael Patterson, Sr. on October 26, 1981. He departed his earthly life on Monday, March 15, 2021. Michael received his education through the PPS system and furthered his career training at Pittsburgh Job Corps. Michael provided his protective services for several guardian positions. He was known to provide a blanket of security where ever he went. Before Michael’s mother passed, he branched out and received his CDL’s and he landed a job and “a family” with the company ATM Delivers. He carried himself with such style and grace that he was complimented as an honorable addition.

Michael was the true definition of family oriented, known as the rock of the family. Michael would stop at nothing to honor, protect, and help aid in bettering his family’s lives. Michael had much experience being a highly-involved role model in family and friend’s lives that once he entered fatherhood, he quickly flourished. He would go above and beyond to make sure his children knew the definition of a devoted father. Whether it was an issue of sickness, safety, or emotional support, Mike was there. Mike was referred to as the “gentle giant” because he showed kindness and cared for everyone.

Michael enjoyed vacationing with his family and friends while taking time out to enjoy the simple things. Driving was his ultimate peace. Long rides with fun destinations made him happy. Besides being on the move, Michael loved most sports. He could get into detailed conversations and reveal stats you wouldn’t know.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandmothers Ida Patterson and Dolores H. Jamison; grandfather Robert Stanley Jamison, Sr.; his uncles Darryl (Kumuzu) Jamison, Terrence Jamison, and Albert Patterson.

Michael leaves a legacy of precious memories with his daughter Ramira Washington, son Michael Bundy, and niece Peyton Brown. He is also survived by his brothers Zachary Blair, Tyson Blair, Michael Graham and sister Taylor Blair. He leaves precious memories with his aunts, uncles, cousins, and a host of friends and loved ones.

Let Me Go
When I come to the end of the road
And the sun has set for me
I want no rites in a gloom filled room
Why cry for a soul set free?
Miss me a little, but not for long
And not with your head bowed low
Remember the love that once we shared
Miss me, but let me go.
For this journey we must all take
And each must go alone
It’s all part of the master plan
A step on the road to home
When you are lonely and sick at heart
Go to friends we know.
Laugh at all the things we used to do
Miss me, but let me go.

Our family would like to thank everyone for their prayers, thoughts, cards, and acts of kindness. May the Lord God bless you and keep you. Due to Covid restrictions, a private memorial service will be live streamed on Saturday, April 10. 2021 at noon at www.grievefromhome.com. The streaming will go live 30 minutes prior to the service and can also be watched at a later date and time. Arrangements entrusted to Pittsburgh Cremation and Funeral Care, Robinson Township.

I wish this wasn’t true. Big Bro I’ll miss you. I appreciate all the times you were there to give me advice. I remember when you had the black BMW. I felt like I was Tupac and you were Suge.

I guess I gotta stop asking how much can I take and take it as it comes in this cold and confusing world.. so many questions that want unanswered, but between me and you I know where we stood AND STAND..
