Michael Paul Koerner, age 52, of Mt. Lebanon, PA died of a heart attack on March 11, 2026.

Mike grew up in Upper St. Clair and attended St. Louise de Marillac grade school and Seton La Salle High School. He played many sports but truly loved baseball. He loved to share his baseball glory days with his nieces and nephews and followed them all closely in their efforts on whatever field, court, pool, or river they competed on. Mike played baseball at the college level for Florida Atlantic, Youngstown State, and then John Carroll. Mike worked as a paralegal, but his true passion was his love for and commitment to his family, especially his nieces and nephews. He will be watching and rooting for them with his grandparents Albert and Irene Paganucci, Paul and Marie Koerner, his Uncle Albert Paganucci, Jr., and his older brother Brad
Koerner who predeceased him.

Beloved son of Ronald and Joyce (Paganucci) Koerner. Loving brother of R. Bradley Koerner, Kimberly (Eric) Gompers and A. David (Pamela) Koerner. Loving uncle to Bradley, Emma,
Charlie, Sam, and Greta Gompers and Macy and John Koerner.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, April 23, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Louise de Marillac Church, 320 McMurray Road, Upper St. Clair PA 15241 with a Celebration of Life to follow.

The family suggests memorial donations be made to Genesis of Pittsburgh, 550 California Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15202.

So sorry to hear of Mikes passing. I grew up playing every sport with Mike. He was a great teammate and friend. Mike was a tremendous talent on the court football field and baseball diamond. We had many fun seasons together and many crazy times off the field. I will always remember Mike as being a fun loving hilarious character. He was a joy to be around at St. Louise and all those travel ball games. All your old buddies and teammates will miss you Mike!! My deepest condolences to all the Koerner family. We love you all.
