On April19, 2026 Mr. Mike Little passed away peacefully in his sleep at his home at the Hattman site, having been receiving hospice services. He was born August 21, 1941.
Mike lived at Polk Center until he was 29 years old, but on 8/28/78, Mike became one of the first eight members admitted to CCI’s Robinson Developmental Center. In 1991 Mike moved into an apartment in CCI’s community program. He also worked at CCI’s ESC as a cleaner and took great pride in his work. After many years of being employed Mike decided to retire and communicated his decision to Victor, Hattman CLM, by throwing his hearing amplifier in his drawer and signed/said “I’m done”. He enjoyed his retirement by attending Walden, where he developed many lasting friendships. Mike enjoyed camping and was a big fan of baseball. He loved attending Pirates games and also participated in Miracle’s League Softball League for several years. Some of Mike’s other favorite pastimes included having coffee and chocolate chip cookies daily and McDonald’s hamburgers as often as he could. Mike was a kind, considerate, positive, and very well-loved man that will be missed by so many.
There will be a viewing on Monday 4/27/26 from 10:30am-12:00pm, with a service beginning immediately after the viewing, at Pittsburgh Cremation & Funeral Care, 5405 Steubenville Pike, Pgh PA 15136. Following his service please feel free to stop by Hattman to have a cookie and McDonald’s burger in his memory
