I had the PLEASURE of singing with Miriam via Rodef Shalom and Temple Sinai for services. She was always a joy to be around and had some wonderful jokes to tell. I remember those days fondly.

So sad to hear this. Miriam was my voice teacher back in high school. I’m 54 now...doesn’t seem like it was so very long ago. She was so talented, and kind-hearted yet she didn’t take any of my teenage crap. ❤️ RIP beautiful soul.

Rest Peacefully sweet Miriam. I had many voice teachers over the years but it is THIS woman who truly taught me to sing. Her guidance got me into my #1 Musical Theater school while still demanding I practice my French diction. ☺️???? When I say that this woman transformed my life: it is an understatement. I still think often of her little house on the hill in Mt. Lebonan and her sweet kitties who would come around for lessons. Like so many teachers: you’ve touched us more than you’ll ever know. Rest well sweet Miriam. I love you. ❤️

I lived in Pittsburgh and grew up on parkway drive, just one street over from Miriam. She was my mom’s friend for years. They first met singing together at Calvary episcopal church. I remember my mom Suzanne, Miriam, Beverly, and another woman, I can’t remember her name playing bridge once a month. I was lucky to study voice with Miriam in high school. She was like a second mother to me. Always kind, laughing and ready to listen. She had a beautiful voice and played the piano so lovingly. I am truly blessed to have known her. She made a difference in my life during a time when I needed help as a teenager. I spoke with about a year ago when she moved into her new long term care facility. She was happy and still had her sense of humor. Love you Miriam. Thank you for being such a kind soul. Rest In Peace
