Myralin Ellen Miller, 98 of Washington, PA, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 6, 2024. She was preceded in death by her parents Edmund and Corinne Smith, and her beloved husband Sylvester, whom she was married to for 67 years.

She was a dedicated wife and mother who supported her husband in every endeavor whether opening a photography studio or starting a craft business. She enthusiastically cheered her children on in all of their interests and careers from the seats of the football stadium or the auditorium, to applauding career accomplishments. Her family was always a priority, and she made sure to come home for the holidays and every special events.

Myralin loved to travel all over the country, and moved often for Sylvester’s work. She especially loved her times spent in California and Hawaii. She loved sharing her photographs and stories from her many travel adventures. She also took pictures and wrote articles for several Pennsylvania magazines.

She was a loving grandmother and great-grandmother. The kids fondly remember their special vacations at Grandma My and Pap Pap Jim’s house. Myralin was quite a lady and was a fashionista; she dressed to the “9”s for every holiday. She took pride in dressing in the latest fashion, and could not leave the house without her jewelry. She also kept a beautiful home for entertaining family and friends. Myralin was a people person and enjoyed socializing with everyone. She had a deep faith and loved attending church and being part of her church community. She leaves a legacy of love, faith, and family.

Myralin is survived by her children, Jimmy (Debbie) Miller, Joanne (Doug) Canan, Dianne (the late Michael) Ziemba, David (Lynn) Miller; grandchildren, Kristy (Andy) Bilderback, Katie (Doug) Rizzo, Bethany Ziemba, Benny (Keira) Canan, Lauren (Andrew) Novak, Kristen (Anthony) Greives, and Nick Ziemba; also 10 great-grandchildren.

Private graveside service with burial will take place at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies. A memorial service is being planned for a future date. Arrangements were entrusted to Pittsburgh Cremation & Funeral Care, Robinson Township, PA.
