Nicholas John Fafalios Jr., 76, of Monessen, formerly of Speers, passed on Saturday, June 29th, 2024. Nicky lived in the Mon Valley most of his life. He served in the US Army in Germany and loved his country. Nicky is survived by his wife, Jackie Fafalios. They celebrated their 37th anniversary in January of this year.

Nicky was very proud of his children, Eric (Lauren) Fafalios, Nicole (Brandon) Heisler, and Arlee (Austin) Dulak, but it was his grandchildren who truly lit up his life. Nothing brought him greater joy than Gracie, Mason, Nora, Eli Fafalios, Brynlee Heisler, Lily, and Riley Dulak.

Nicky cherished his family, finding his closest companions in his siblings: John Fafalios, Maria Hess, and Tina Sefchok. He leaves behind a powerful legacy of love. He is remembered fondly by his nieces, Angela (Shaun) Baker and Casey (Dan) Sobolewski, nephews Jeffrey (Jessica) Sefchok, Nicholas (Danielle) Sefchok, and Grant (Christina) Hess, great nieces and nephews, cousins, and his Aunt Freeda Kootsouradis and Uncle Joe Fafalios.

The memory of Nicky’s humor and devotion will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital at http://stjude.org.

We send our deepest sympathy to the entire Fafalios family. You are in our thoughts and prayers. May God give you the strength to cope with your loss. We were so blessed to have Nicky in our lives. He had a way to make us laugh even when things were bad. We thank him for all the love he showed our parents, for his service to our country, and the friendship he gave us. May God rest his soul and his memory be eternal. With Love, Jim, Pam, Annie, & Leanne August
