Nicholas Shannon Chametzky, age 26 of Peters Township, PA, passed away on August 22, 2019. Born on March 18, 1993, he was the son of Marc and Barry Chametzky, and loving brother to Alex Chametzky and Stephanie Madrid. Nick is also survived by many extended family members.

Nick spent the last year and a half of his life in South Carolina, where he lived with his long time girlfriend, Ciara Refosco. He was extremely proud of his job as a decorative landscaper. Nick loved spending time outdoors, but most importantly with his girlfriend and their pets.

A gathering of family and friends to celebrate Nick’s life will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2019 from 2 PM – 4 PM at Pittsburgh Cremation and Funeral Care, 3287 Washington Road, McMurray, PA 15317, (724) 260-5546.

I used to work with Nick at a moving company and I just found out about this. Wow... so young. I will always remember Nick’s work ethic and that he was the guy that would do whatever it took to finish a job. If the safety of a maneuver was questionable but there wasn’t another practical way, he would put himself in the line of fire to make sure the team was successful. He made me want to be a better person. I’ll miss the times we had.
