Ora Kenneth “Ken” Baringer, age 90, of Coal Center, PA passed away with family by his side on November 5, 2025.

Born in Alicia, PA, on May 28, 1935, he was the son of the late Joseph Howard and Leeta Childers Baringer.

Beloved husband of Beverly Ann Redd Baringer, whom he married July 9, 1955; loving father of David Baringer, Kimberly (John) Anders and Doreen (William) Bassett; cherished grandfather of April (Harry), Maureen (Missy), Joshua (Deanna), Lindsey (Mike), Kristen (Brian), Jason (Rachel), Justin and Megan; 10 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

He was the last of his immediate family, and was preceded in death by his wife and 9 siblings.

A retired carpenter foreman in the bridge industry, Ken was best known by everyone as someone who could fix just about anything — whether it was a broken chair, a leaky pipe, or a friend in need of encouragement. His hands were always busy, but his heart was always open.

A proud charter member and deacon of Garwood Baptist Church, Ken not only helped build the church with his own hands but also helped build the faith community that thrived within its walls. His steady presence, humble service, and unwavering faith touched countless lives.

Ken will be deeply missed by his family, friends, church community, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy of service, faith, and love will continue to inspire those he leaves behind.

Family extends their heartfelt gratitude to UPMC Washington’s Critical Care Unit, for the loving care of their father.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Ken’s life on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at 1:00 pm at Garwood Baptist Church, 637 Scenic Drive, Daisytown, led by Kevin Carpenter. The service will be live-streamed at facebook.com/GarwoodBaptist. Internment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Washington City Mission or Garwood Baptist Church.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to all the family. I am so happy I got to know this wonderful man since we came to Garwood Baptist Church. When Ken walked into the church he would say to hello to as many people as he could. Ken was always helping someone. He never stopped sharing his Love of Jesus. He was such a beautiful soul and we will miss him.

We are so saddened to hear of the loss of Ken. He was always such a blessing to us personally while we lived in Pennsylvania. His sacrifice of time, talent and energy was always done with great joy and a great big smile. Praying for the family and Garwood Baptist as well.
