Patrick Slowey

A child of the King. Born March 15, 1957 in Bethlehem, PA to Arthur and Judy Slowey (Gorski), Pat Slowey– “Slow” — was called home to Jesus on Wednesday January 7, 2026.

The oldest of five children, Slow attended the University of Pittsburgh, where he met the love of his life, Annie Wallace, at a frat party at the Delt house and shared 46+ years of crazy wedded bliss.

Slow gave his life to Jesus in his 20’s and lived out his faith on a daily basis. A sinner saved by the grace of the Savior, he was a faithful husband, dedicated father to five children, Dan, Kevin, Pat Jr., Bridget and Maggie — caring father-in-law to Leigh (Sulkowski) and Hilary (Titus) and a loving PapPap to two grandchildren Isla Slowey and Jonas Titus-Slowey.

Slow had a profound impact on the lives of everyone he met; family, friends, colleagues, employees, and acquaintances – he loved coaching youth sports and was always ready with words of encouragement and support, and possibly a leg drill!

Slow lived a truly wonderful life. He chose the narrow path and was blessed beyond measure. He honored the Lord with his blessings – sharing the Truth, and giving generously and with cheer to all those in need.

Well done, good and faithful servant.

And it’s safe to say, the Plain Old Weightlifters Gym in Heaven is now officially OPEN.

Slow’s Memorial Service will take place on Saturday, January 17, 2026 at 11:00 am at The Bible Chapel , 300 Gallery Dr., McMurray PA 15317

Annie, Judy, Tom, Mike & Brian, First, I want to say our heartfelt sympathy from my wife and myself. I knew Pat in our early teens because we lived close to each other in Lower Saucon Township, Pa. We became fast friends both loving Pro Wrestling and we called each other "Dick" after Dick the Bruiser. In high school, Pat was a running back for football and was picked for the prestigious Big 33 Football Classic. He also ran track, played golf and together we lifted weights. When he got older we enjoyed fun trips to his family's beach house in LBI and we went to Virginia Beach. After high school he went one year to Fork Union Military Academy and then Pitt. I took trips to Pitt regularly and there is where I met Annie. I had the honor of being his best man at his wedding. Our tight friendship knew no distance or time. We stayed in contact for many years and especially these last years talking about his faith and our families. My wonderful memories of Dick remain close to my heart forever! Rest in Peace, my dear best friend! Love, Dick (Denny)

Annie and Family, I was a fraternity brother of Pats. Knew him well and enjoyed greatly his presence in the fraternity. I offer my sincere condolences and prayers. He did indeed live a great life. I’m sure his faith helped him greatly during his illness. Haven’t spoken to him at all since college graduation but he was the sort of guy in a good way you never forget. BTW, you may also remember me from dating your dorm next door neighbor, Lynn Campus. I actually knew you before Pat did. In closing, I wish you and yours all the best as you celebrate Pat’s outstanding life. Take care

My condolences to Annie and the entire Slowey family. Patrick was bigger than life when we first met a PITT. Presume he lived the rest of his life that same way. Patrick was "moon struck" when he first saw Annie from across the room. One of the few time he was speechless. It was the beginning of their long life together. Rest in peace with Christ DTD Brother.
