Rae E. Minutello

Rae E. Minutello, 98, of Mt. Lebanon, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 7, 2026. Born on May 15, 1928, in Swissvale, Pennsylvania, Rae was the beloved daughter of the late Francisco and Mary Anthonia
(Spierto) Aurilio.

Rae was a remarkable woman whose greatest joy came from caring for others. As the owner of the former Minutello’s Restaurant in Mt. Lebanon and East Liberty, she shared her passion for food with countless friends, neighbors, and patrons over the years. Whether preparing a meal in her restaurant or welcoming loved ones into her home, Rae expressed her love through her cooking. Her table was always filled with delicious food, laughter, and the warmth of family and friendship. Holidays and gatherings were especially dear to her, and she created
cherished memories that will be treasured for generations.

She was a devoted member of ISDA and enjoyed an active life, especially on the tennis court. An avid tennis player, Rae continued to enjoy watching matches on television throughout her life. She was also a loyal Pittsburgh Steelers fan who rarely missed the opportunity to cheer on her hometown team.

Above all else, Rae’s greatest pride was her family. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother, adoring great-grandmother, and caring sister whose kindness, generosity, and unwavering love touched everyone fortunate enough to know
her.

In addition to her parents, Rae was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Louis T. Minutello; her sister, Mal (Pete) Caliendo; her brother, Sidney (Matilda) Aurilio; her niece,
Marianne Caliendo Mustio; and her nephew, Dale Aurilio.

She is lovingly survived by her children, Louis (Theresa) Minutello, Paul (Gretchen) Minutello, Joanne (Norman) Ebeck, and Carol (Tim) Lamb. Rae was the proud grandmother of Chris (Anna), Alex (Evan), Jackie (Ben), Hilary (Cory), Lydia, Ava, Stephen (Abby), Melissa (Anthony), Megan, Nolan, Talia, Nicholas, and Brendan; and the adoring great-grandmother of Charlotte, Emilia, Giuliana, Evelyn, Oliver, Lennon, Waylon, and Mason. She is also survived by many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will miss her
deeply.

Family and friends are welcome to celebrate Rae’s life at a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, July 13, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Michael the Archangel Parish (St. Bernard Church), 311 Washington Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15216. Entombment will flow
at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in McMurray.
