Aunt Reene (“Reenie” is how we said it) was in my mind a slightly younger, equally gorgeous, version of my mom, just shy of a doppelgänger, a littler less theatrical, reserved, sharp and (like my mother) kind. Geography got in the way of our seeing her as often as the Milwaukee-based clan, but I cherished seeing her all the more for that reason. I feel that I came to know my mom much better in her presence (comparing the parallels and the paradoxes). A quiet confidence, alert, a listener, and she clearly left much behind in the lives and hearts of others. I have only warm thoughts about her, and lament her leaving the world. Goodbye Aunt Reene.

Stewart and I were neighbors of Dick and Reene while we lived in Pittsburgh. They were both amazing people and we will remember them fondly. We hold you in our hearts and prayers. The Neubers

To Dan and family: I will always remember your mom coming to visit Dan at Yenko Honda. She was such an elegant lady, always with a smile and very gracious to me. May God bless your family in your time of grief. Sincerely, Mary Jane McCoy
