Reid L. Yannacci passed away surrounded by his family on Friday, August 2, 2024 at Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh.

He was born September 22, 1955, in New Eagle, PA son of the late Carmen & Stella Carducci Yannacci of Bentleyville

Loving husband of 41 years to LaWanda (Dykins) Yannacci; loving father to Darren (Brandi Clouet) and Cassie (Sean) Zyra.

Proud Pappy to Blake Zyra, Dorian Yannacci, Colt Zyra and a new grandson due any day.

Reid worked for Asplundh Tree Service for 41 years. After retirement, he worked for T&C Remolding, proving he could still out labor men half his age. And finally, he began his most important and cherished role – being the greatest Pappy there ever was.

Reid enjoyed all sports, especially playing basketball alongside his children, friends, and the generations of younger, taller men left in awe of his unblockable floater.

He was an avid outdoorsman – A legendary bowhunter who’s favorite passed time was being amongst the trees.

His greatest achievement was his children and grandchildren.

Dear Brother of Robert Yannacci, Candy Selvoski (Sonny Palcie), Crystal Aiken, Charmaine Chrobak, Roland (Kim Timlin).  The late Pagan Batson and Royce Yannacci.  In Laws: Thomas (Jody) Dykins, Jerry (Mary) Dykins, Casey (Becky) Dykins, & Alyce Moore. Also survived by many beloved Nieces & Nephew.

He was a unparalleled man, friend, father, and influence on the many that simply knew him as Uncle Reid.

Family and Friends are welcome on Friday, August 9th between 2-7pm @ Pittsburgh Cremations & Funeral Care, 3287 Washington Road, McMurray, PA for a Memorial Service gathering.

Reid was one of my favorite people and a fierce competitor back in our playing days. He was one of the first people to welcome me to Bentleyville and to the Bentworth Basketball community. Condolences to LaWanda and the entire family.
