A 1982 graduate of West Mifflin North High School, Renee earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications from Point Park College.  She founded Astron Music, where she worked as a digital creator and producer, publicist and supporter of musicians.  She provided studio space and opportunities for artists to record and develop their work, contributing to the creative community in her own meaningful way.

Renee always had her own way of seeing things, and there was a creativity to the way she moved through life. When we were kids, we spent a lot of time outside together. She’d be the pitcher, I’d be the catcher, and those simple afternoons in the yard are some of the memories I hold onto most. She loved music and art, and a lot of my taste in both came from her and what she shared. She also had a soft spot for animals and nature — it was something peaceful and genuine in her. Wishing her peace now, and holding on to the good memories and the influence she had on my life growing up.

My dear sister Renee, I'm so very saddened that the time for you to move on from this earthly world has arrived. I have many memories that I will hold close. Being the air symbol of Gemini, I suspect you are already soaring above places close to your heart and places you always wanted to go. Peace be with you~ Simone
