I taught with Rhoda at Oliver for over 25 years and we were friends. She was honest and dedicated, bright and witty, and compassionate. She was seen as 'too strict' by her students who would later list her among their favorites when they realized how much they had learned about biology. We could confide with each other in trust, and I considered that a true blessing. During the sometime 'chaotic" experiences at Oliver, our friendship helped to cope. I cherish the times I made her laugh; a laugh I can still hear. Although saddened by her passing, my faith consoles me that we will meet again in a better place.

I very much enjoyed Rhoda and theater going with she and her daughter Linda quite awhile back. I agree with Rob re: her laugh; genuine! May she be at peace. I am not sure who I am quoting, but it had been said: "Getting old isn't for sissies!"
