Richard A. Giuliano, age 78, of McMurray, formerly of Upper St. Clair, passed away peacefully with family by his side on July 8, 2024.

Born on October 9, 1945, he was the son of the late Ernestine and Albert Giuliano.

He was the beloved husband of 55 years to Cheryl Giuliano; loving father of Monica (Rich) Kasten and Ryan Giuliano; cherished Pappy and best friend  of Parker Kasten; dear brother of the late Albert Giuliano.

Richard had a special bond with his grandson, Parker.  He often said that being a Pappy was the best time of his life, taking many small trips or riding the T all through Pittsburgh. Throughout the fall, he spent every Saturday with Monica watching College Football.  He took joy in his everyday activities, getting coffees, hanging out at Market District Express, he was very simple but had a wonderful life. Every year he enjoyed traveling to Surfside Beach, SC with his family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Monday, July 15, 2024 from 1 pm until the time of service at 6 pm at Pittsburgh Cremation & Funeral Care, 3287 Washington Rd., McMurray, PA 15317, 724-260-5546.

Richie was a truly nice guy and a pleasant conversationalist. I always enjoyed talking with him and enjoyed his subtle humor. He seemed to enjoy needling Cheryl and Monica.

Cheryl, we will miss Rich for his smile, his kindness and his sense of humor. Though we only knew a short while, he was a good neighbor and friend. We send you our sincere sympathy and offer you our comfort. God bless your family and you. Bob and Georgann
