Richard Anthony Pivirotto, age 79 of Oakdale, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on December 1,2021. He was born in Pittsburgh and is the son of the late Louis and Angela Pivirotto; beloved husband of 54 years to LaVerne; loving father of Veronica, Richelle (Scott) Macher, Richard Anthony Jr. (Sharon) Pivirotto, Mary Beth (John) Fratangeli; beloved grandfather of Abigail, Scott, Jr., Anna, Richard Anthony III, David Christopher, Dante, Ryan, Geno, Emma and Hunter; brother of Louis (Bernice) Pivirotto, Patricia (James) Bruno and the late Mark Pivirotto; also, many nieces and nephews. He was a member of VFW Post 7714 and the American Legion. He proudly served in the U.S. Army as a combat engineer in Vietnam. After working as a buyer for Joseph Horne Co., he began his career as a talented carpenter and loved working with his hands. Friends will be received on Wednesday, December 8th from 5-8 pm at Pittsburgh Cremation and Funeral Care, 5405 Steubenville Pike, Robinson Twp., PA 15136. A Memorial Mass will be held Thursday at 11 am at St. Isadore the Farmer Parish (St. Columbkille Church), 103 Church Rd., Imperial, PA 15126. Everyone meet at church. Inurnment with military honors will follow at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
