Richard Carcaise

Richard Carcaise, age 74 passed away peacefully at home July 24, 2026.

Born January 20, 1952 Richard resided in Beaver, PA. He worked for many years as a bricklayer, until retiring in 2010 while beginning his battle with pancreatic cancer. Against the staggering odds he managed to continue on 16 incredible years, a testament to his remarkable strength and resilience. He enjoyed spending his free time fishing, building and painting model cars and taking long drives on Sundays, ending up wherever the road may take him. He also took up painting later on in life, surprising everyone with his amazing renderings of mountain landscapes.

Richard is survived by his wife of 43 years Phyllis(Pratte) Carcaise, his daughters Lindsay and Amanda Carcaise, along with his grandchildren Ja’kai and Ariya Williams. He is also survived by two sisters, Nancy Murphy and Phyllis Vukich along with nieces and nephews. Richard was preceded in death by his parents Albert and Edith(Fox) Carcaise, brothers Albert(Buddy) Carcaise Jr, Ronald Carcaise and sister Mary Jane(Janey) Crumm.

In accordance with Richard’s wishes no public services are planned at this time. The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the staff at Pinnacle Hospice and Dr Sestito for all of their compassionate care during his last two months.
