Richard “Dicky” Spolar

On October 17, 2021, we unexpectedly lost Richard “Dicky” Spolar, 80 of Castle Shannon, PA. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years Bobby (Roberta) Cicero. Dicky attended The University of Pittsburgh and spent most of his professional career with Consolidation Coal Co. as the Associate Director of Scientific Systems. He is survived by brother Raymond (Judy) Spolar, brother-in-law Jimmy (Barbara) Cicero and sister-in-law Bonnie (Dave) McCall. He will be sadly missed by all including many nieces and nephews.

In retirement he enjoyed spending winters in Florida golfing and spending time with his many friends.

Funeral arrangements are private and have been entrusted to Pittsburgh Cremation and Funeral Care, McMurray, PA.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Make a Wish Foundation or St. Jude’s Hospital.
