Richard Joseph Benedetti, 70, passed away on Friday, February 12, 2021.  He is survived by his wife Barbara, his high school sweetheart of 47 years, son Ryan Benedetti (Erin) of Gibsonia, PA, daughters Christine Benedetti Henningsgaard (Aaron) of Seattle, WA and Courtney Benedetti Tooke (Kevin) of Mt. Lebanon, PA, brother John Benedetti (Rose) of Vancouver, B.C., sister Barbara Hall (Tom) of Campbell River, B.C., dear cousins, nieces, and nephews scattered across North America, and six beloved grandchildren: Charlie (9) and Jonah (7) Benedetti, Serena (6) and Camille (4) Tooke, and Owen (5) and Wesley (4) Henningsgaard, whose laughter and footsteps filled his heart.  Born in Lowell, Massachusetts, Richard spent his early childhood in Montreal, Quebec before ultimately settling in Vancouver, B.C.  Richard’s life was colored by his incredible experiences traveling the world with Barbara during his many years as General Manager of Sales and Marketing for C.P. Air and Canadian Airlines.  While a part of him will always live on in Vancouver, he was proud to call Pittsburgh home and held a special love for the sunshine and pelicans of Topsail Island, NC where he and Barbara maintain a residence.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital http://giftfunds.stjude.org/RichardBenedetti.  Private family services will be held at later dates, but feel free to celebrate Richard with a tall glass of white wine with exactly three ice cubes. Arrangements were entrusted to Pittsburgh Cremation & Funeral Care, McMurray, PA.
