Robert Donald Rollings, aged 65, of Canonsburg, PA passed away on December 21st, 2021 surrounded by family.

Born January 16th, 1956, in Pittsburgh, to the late Donald and Jean (Ridley) Rollings – a brother to Ruth Haskins, and Jan Disterhoft, to which he is survived.

Robert is survived by his beloved wife, Cindy (Burger) Rollings, and his children, Christopher Rollings, Rebecca Rollings, and daughter-in-law Cicely Murray, to whom he was a loving father.

Robert was the Son-in-law of Joseph Burger Sr. and the late Georgetta (Dohanich) Burger.  Robert was Brother-in-law to Joseph Burger Jr., late Raymond Burger, and Christopher Haskins.

Robert is also survived by his Nieces and Nephews, Michael and Danielle Turcovsky, John and Nick Haskins, and Raymie George Burger.

It should be expressed that Robert will be missed by dozens of his children’s close friends, to whom he also showed great love and paternalism.

“Bob” will be remembered as a gentle, caring soul. A pacifist. A collector of and expert on Rock, R&B, and Blues music. He loved nature, camping, fishing, and helping Cindy in their garden. He, of course, loved the Steelers and “dem Pirates.”

Robert had decided, with family, that there would be no service. Family would ask that you remember “Bob” in your own way – or play a good tune for him.

___

“Let me drink from the waters, where the mountain streams flood

Let the smell of wildflowers flow free through my blood

Let me sleep in your meadows, with the green grassy leaves

Let me walk down your highways, with my brother in peace

Let me die in my footsteps, before I go down under the ground

Go out in your country where the land meets the Sun

See the crater and the canyons and the waterfalls run

Nevada, New Mexico, Arizona or Idaho

Let every State in this Union seep down into your souls

And you’ll die in your footsteps

Before you go down under the ground”

– Bob Dylan
