Robert Michael Postava, 67, of Hopewell, formerly of Robinson Township, passed away on June 4, 2026, following a courageous battle with Leukemia attributed to exposure to contaminated water at Camp Lejeune. A proud United States Marine, Robert served his country with honor and dedication.
Born on March 8, 1959, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Robert was the beloved son of the late Walter and Gloria (Roth) Postava.
Robert is survived by his devoted wife, Elizabeth (Martin) Postava; his brothers, Walter “Butch” (late Marilyn) Postava and Michael (Monica) Postava; his sister, Karen (Frank) Koszak; Brother-in-Law of Mary (Jeff) Laughlin, Chris (Joe) Podnar, Barbara (late Richard) Kaleugher , Wesley (Sue) Martin, Joe (Amy) Martin and Carol (John) Meiers and many cherished nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
Robert devoted over 30 years to XPO Logistics, building lasting friendships and earning the respect of everyone he worked with.
An avid outdoorsman, Robert found great joy in hunting, fishing, and spending time in nature. Whether in the woods, by the water, or gathered with family and friends, he treasured every opportunity to create lasting memories with those he loved. His kindness, quiet strength, and appreciation for life’s simple pleasures will be remembered by all who knew him.
Though his passing leaves a tremendous void, the love he shared and the memories he created will remain in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him and his memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends forever.
Funeral service will be held at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies on June 25, 2026 at 10:30am.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks to send donations to the Leukemia Society or donate to veterans in need.
